Here Is A Step By Step Guide In Cleaning Your Laptop

It is very important to keep our laptops clean. Some people don’t even bother to clean them, which is a bad idea. There are really REALLY bad cases of dirty laptops that, upon inspection, have not only collected dust inside them, but also insects.

Don’t let that happen to your laptop. That thing is mega expensive and VERY useful, especially in this day and age, where we have to rely on it due to it being connected to our line of work and because it is also a source of communication and entertainment.

So how do you clean it?

Okay first of all TURN THAT THING OFF.

  • Then you remove the battery and open the laptop so it will be easy to clean the space inside. Yes, you have to clean the inside too. Doing so will prevent your laptop from having some sort of gross infestation. I’ve seen this happen to someone else’s laptop and Nintendo Switch once and it was horrifying.
  • Turn the laptop upside down and tap it. This will get rid of any crumbs that may have gotten there.
  • To get rid of the gunk that had gotten themselves stuck in between the keys, spray some canned air on the keyboard.
  • Put the laptop on a flat surface. Then vacuum the keyboard using a small brush attachment. This gives it a thorough cleaning. It also sucks up any dust or crumb (or an ant egg or two) that are difficult to get to.
  • Dampen cotton swabs with rubbing alcohol and wipe them in between and over the keys if it is possible. Remember, just dampen the swabs, not completely wet.

Now for you LCD screen:

  • To remove any surface dust on your screen, spray some of the canned air that you used on the keyboard earlier.
  • Mix a solution that consists of distilled water and vinegar. Make sure both are of equal amounts when you mix them in.
  • You can then spray that solution on a soft, clean rag and wipe the screen using that.
  • You can keep the screen clean by wiping it periodically using microfiber cloth that is used specifically for computers. This keeps the screen all clean without you having to go through the boring general cleaning.

As for the MOUSE

This one is the simplest to clean. If you have an external mouse, don’t forget to spray it with your vinegar solution and wipe off your mouse using the soft rag. Don’t forget to turn that over so you can also wipe the underside, yeah?

Cleaning a laptop is a pretty easy task and it won’t even take too much of your time. So make sure that you actually do this periodically. Remember, this gets rids of bugs wanting to start a hive in there.
