You don’t have to be a professional to know how to make and design a website. And website doesn’t have to be overly pretty or complex to get the clicks you needed. It also will not succeed if you’re just going to rely on some thought-provoking content and some compelling design. It NEEDS to look like it could answer your users’ questions right away. To let them think that they’re in the right place once they click on your website.
It sounds easy but it’s a bit more complex than that. People have their own preference and have their own opinions on what’s pretty and what isn’t. And if they’re clicking on you to look for something and get some answers, then they’re the type to actually be specifically looking for that something. It’s your job to convince them that YOU’RE the one they’re looking for. And you can’t just do that with real content and proper answers.

Keep your homepage free of clutter and minimalist
Since people rarely ever read every single word on a web page, don’t overdo it. Be simple and artistic in how you design your homepage. Remember that people often just glance around the page for a few seconds before clicking out if they don’t think it’s worth their time. Design enough that catches their eyes.
With visual hierarchy in mind, go design
Organisation is key. You have practically about a few seconds to impress your readers and tell them that you are the site they are looking for. If you make everything clear and clean, your readers will unconsciously follow your bread crumbs. Again, don’t overdo it and don’t dump some info on them right off the bat.
Create content that are easy to read
The content is basically the meat of the whole thing. If you don’t have content that they can sink their teeth into, then your website is basically nothing but an online store, basically. Make the articles easy to read, too. Not too wordy of info-dumping them. They make them stay on your website for a little while longer. Remember that there are so many websites on the internet that you are competing with so be interesting.
Make sure your site will be easy to navigate
If they can easily click it, then you have no problems making changes. Just make sure that that it will load quickly. If it takes more than 3 seconds, then they will click out faster than you can say “No, wait, come back”.
STAY mobile friendly
People are always on their phones these days. We don’t have that much time to open up our laptops or computers to open up a site. Phones are easily accessible to not just them but you too. Utilise this fact.
